Camino_2013

from Portomarin its a tough uphill walk to Gonzar
July 28th From Gonzar via Hospital da Cruz, Ventas de Naron, Ligonde, Airexe to Palace de Rei.
Rainy day. Hard to find the Camino in the early mornin mist. We almost got lost here.
rainig all day long - so we decide to stop walking in Palas de Rei, eat a good lunch and make Spaghetti for dinner.
July 29th from Palas de Rei via Casanova, Melide, Boente to Ribadiso.
If you like pulpo (octopus), Melide is the place where it is cooked best. Very delicious.
We (and all the 80 other visitors of the beer pub) had it at 10 in the morning - the place was crammed with pilgrims eating there.
July 30th Powerwalk 42 km from Ribadiso via Arzua, Salceda, Santa Irene, Pedrouzo, Monte de Gozo all the way down to Santiago de Compostela. Finished the camino that day - just to continue walking to the sea from the next morning.
The Fissman family from Germany - thanks for the nice conversation on the way.
John Humpries from Arizona (and NOT from California as you might suggest)
In Santiago they had Mais favourite Döner Kebab. And we met many friends from along the Camino again in Santiago.
Candles in front of the Cathedral - for the victims of the train accident near Santiago.
July 31rst - the Camino continues. Off we go towards Muxia and then to Finisterra.
First day from Santiago to Negreira. Lots of ups and donws on the way. Not so easy walk as we thought.
