July 14th from Hornillas del Camino via Hontanas, San Anton to Castrojeriz the region between Burgos and Leon is called the "meseta" (the table). Miles and miles of cornfields for the "kitchen" of Spain. Many pilgrims dont like walking there in the hot sun. But compared to tropical Tokyo its easy walking there and no hills. Here we walked more than 40 km per day. In Castrojeritz we stayed in the Alberge "Casa Nostra" |

July 15th From Castrojeriz via San Nicolas, Itero de la Vega, Boadilla del Camino to Fromista In Fromista we stayed in a old shack from the station building. Very original albergue. And only 2 guests, Mai and me. |

throug the cornfields of the Meseta, along an artificial Canal (built in the 18th century) to the railway station of Fromista. The station is "out of use" so they made an Albergue there. | |||
July 16th from Fromista via Poblacion de Campos, Villarmento. Villalcazar de Sirga to Carrion de los Condes Starting before 6 am as usual, but this morning we had rain. |
